Understanding and incorporating fundamental elements of the Planned Relocation Process

This toolbox provides concrete suggestions for countries and other actors who are contemplating or planning to relocate people in order to protect them from disasters and environmental change. The guidance underlines that Planned Relocations are complex, multidimensional processes and identifies cross-cutting elements that repeatedly surfaced in lessons from prior experience. It intended to complement the Guidance for Protecting People from Disasters and Environmental Change through Planned Relocations, which was developed through a series of multi-stakeholder meetings between 2011 and 2015.
