A DIY Approach to Solving Complex Problems

The Problem Driven Iterative Adaptation (PDIA) toolkit is designed to guide the user through the process of solving complex problems collaboratively. This Do-it-Yourself (DIY) kit, where the ‘you’ is a committed team of four-six mobilized people, encourages a step-by-step approach which helps individuals break down problems into their root causes, identify entry points, search for possible solutions, act, reflect upon what has been learned, adapt and then act again. This process is dynamic with tight feedback loops that allow teams to build their own solutions to problems within local contexts.
