Systematic data collection and disaggregation

This note provides guidance and elements for a common understanding on a Human Rights-Based Approach to Data, focusing on issues of data collection and disaggregation. It draws on internationally agreed principles for statistics and echoes the call for a data revolution for sustainable development, which upholds human rights. The guidance targets policymakers, statisticians and data specialists, development practitioners and human rights advocates who are eager to ensure respect, protection and fulfilment of human rights in the implementation and review of the 2030 Agenda.
